With all of these giant robots, homicidal enemies, and flesh-eating ravens roaming the British countryside, it can be hard to survive in the world of Atomfall. Thankfully, you can upgrade your arsenal and abilities through the purchase of Skills.
How to Get and Use the Metal Detector in Atomfall
Find caches with the help of the metal detector.
Skills are unlocked for purchase by finding different skill manuals out in the world ofAtomfall, and then purchasing them from your backpack screen in the Skills menu using Training Stimulants. Not all skills are created equal, though, so it’s important to know which ones are the best choice for your next upgrade.
10Scavenger
Faster, Faster!
If you’re tired of spending all your time searching through the various chests and dead bodies full of loot in the game, the Scavenger perk is made for you.
Scavenger decreases the amount of time that it takes to search lootable containers, whether it be chests, dead bodies, or anything else you might take items in and out of. It’s simple, but for those of us with little patience, it’s a godsend.

9Fortitude
I feel stronger
If you’re struggling with losing all of your health too quickly, then unlocking the Fortitude skill should be next on your agenda.
Fortitude increases the size of your health bar by about 20-30%, making it much easier to take hits and survive while you’re exploring the wastelands of Atomfall. Just remember that for all that extra health, you’ll have to use more healing items to make up for any health lost.

Let’s Make a Deal
How am I supposed to effectively trade with NPCs when I only have 16 slots in my backpack? We know just the skill to help alleviate this issue, although it still might require some long trips to the storage system and back.
The Charisma skill makes trading with NPCs easier by making all of your items you put up for bartering worth more than their original value. If you have your eyes on a fancy manual or atomic battery, consider grabbing this skill before you sell off all your possessions.

Healing factor
You may have noticed that when left on a sliver of health, your character will regain just a little bit of it when avoiding damage for a sustained amount of time. It’s not much, but it helps (especially with this upgrade).
The Recovery skill increases the healing factor you regenerate when at low health, giving you more health in a faster amount of time when knocked down to the brink of death.

6Endurance Training
I am speed
Are tired of getting tired all the time? You can try out eating some tea from a box (an unpleasant experience that we don’t find very effective at most times), or you can get the Endurance Training skill.
This skill makes your heart rate increase slower, as well as recover faster from a maxed-out heart rate. Basically, your stamina drain and stamina regen both get a big boost, making it easier to sprint for long distances.

5Healing Boost
I need a medic
If the piles of tomatoes and bandages aren’t quite getting you back up to your peak health, then you may want to try an upgrade in the form of the Healing Boost skill.
Healing Boost increases the amount of health that consumables restore over time. This means that First Aid Kits, Bandages, and all of the food you could ever think of are all way more effective once you purchase this skill.
4Disarm Traps
Sneaky times are here
Whether it be setting off an alarm and alerting nearby enemies, or straight up murdering you with a spike to the face or an explosive to the gut, traps are a bothersome and annoying part of exploring in Atomfall.
Review: Atomfall
Does Rebellion’s attempt at breaking into the survival-crafting space “fall” flat?
The Disarm Traps skill allows players to, as the name suggests, disarm traps when they come across them. Disarming a trap does require spotting it first, then interacting with the trap once you get close enough. If all goes to plan, you’ll get some free crafting materials out of it in the end!
3Bow Focus
Slow motion for the win
One of the most overpowered skills in the game is the Bow Focus skill, which slows down time for you and your enemies as you prepare an attack with the bow and arrow.
This skill makes it way easier to land headshots (and, therefore, instant kills) against enemies, as they become too slow to dodge out of the way or to miss when they’re walking through the level. It also looks sick and makes you feel awesome, so its a win-win.
2Deep Pockets
All of the strings and bullets
Are you tired of coming cross materials or ammo and not being able to pick it up because your inventory is full? The Deep Pockets skill is right up your alley if you’re an avid collector (or hoarder) like us.
Deep Pockets won’t increase the number of backpack slots that you have in your inventory, but it will increase the maximum amount of crafting materials and ammunition that you can carry for every type of ammo and material.
Time for an upgrade
All the guns in the world of Atomfall seem to be rusty old pieces of junk. Surely there must be some way to get your hands on some more pristine firearms? Thankfully the Gunsmith skill has you covered.
Unlocking the Gunsmith skill allows you to combine two identical weapons of the same quality, creating a new gun of increased quality with extra buffs and upgrades. This can be done in the crafting menu, using a new material that unlocks alongside the skill called “Gun Oil.” Fully upgrading a gun requires 4 identical rusty firearms, so be sure to make use of the storage system.
