Helldivers 2is most certainly one of the most popular live service titles of 2024. Despite being surrounded by controversy because Sony forced users to create PSN IDs and link them to their Steam accounts on PC, it has managed to regain its GotY contender status.
The game team is always prompt in ensuring that the best experience is delivered to the divers, but there are still some areas where players feel buffs and nerfs are required. One such area is the Rocket Sentry, which, per many, requires a significant buff to make it worthwhile.
Helldivers 2 Players Call for a Rocket Sentry Buff
Thedirector ofHelldivers 2, Johan Pilestedt, recently stated that he would want the game to be enjoyed by players ‘forever.’Ensuring that a game survives the test of time in this day and age can be tricky. However, listening to and taking action based on user feedback comes naturally to theHelldivers 2studio and can go a long way in keeping it relevant.

On the game’s subreddit, players usually highlight issues that they think require attention, and one such issue, regarding one of the game’s sentry weapons, was brought up by a player recently. And it seems that over 700 players agree with them.
The point of the post was in regards toHelldivers 2‘s meta. The user highlighted that the Rocket Sentry, already regarded as one of the more powerful sentry guns in the game, should be buffed even further to be comparable to the Autocannon Sentry, the most meta sentry in the game.
Currently, the Autocannon Sentry is unlocked at level 13, which is incredibly similar to the AC-8 Autocannon, available at level 10. But the sentry is automatic and has an automated reload feature. The Rocket Sentry is unlocked at level 15, but it is still much weaker than the latter. Hence, giving the former a decent buff would go a long way towards evening the odds.
Some Tips for Helldivers 2 Till the Rocket Sentry Gets Buffed
While several changes to the meta may be made toHelldivers 2soon,one can ensure that they aren’t behind the current meta. While a separate article can be written for the same, here are some tips to significantly enhance your use of Stratagems in the game.

The first tip will be to ensure that you aren’t ignoring low-level Stratagems just because they were given to you earlier. For example, while not inflicting an incredible amount of damage, the Orbital Precision Strike is fantastic for clearing objectives like Detection Towers and killing Bio Titans in one shot.
The next tip would be to aim down the sights and then use the jump pack to get out of the impact range of an enemy. Engaging with the jump pack gives you a couple of seconds to aim accurately, giving you a clean shot. The final trick would be to have at least one of your squad members carry smoke in their loadout, as using it strategically can help you take less damage by hiding from enemies.
