The Golden Apple Archipelago is back for Genshin Impact’s Summertime Odyssey event, which runs fromJuly 15, 2022, to Jul 09, 2025. The event features a limited exploration area where you can unlock Teleport Waypoints, collect Treasure Chests, and complete puzzles within the event period.

How to unlock the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact
To visit the summer islands, you need to meet the following prerequisites:
Once you meet all the above requirements, you’ll automatically get an Event Quest calledThe Golden Apple Vacation Returns!But if you choose not to complete Mona’s Story Quest, head to the event menu, select Summertime Odyssey, then clickQuick Startto get the Event Quest. Following this quest will eventually take you to the Golden Apple Archipelago.

You can only collect all the Chests on Pudding Isleafter completing all three parts of Kazuha’s Mirage, As the Courtyard in Spring Once Appeared.

Twinning Isle
Reference the red and pink stars in the image above to find all the Chests in the Twinning Isle after it has transformed into Immernachtreich. While there are 27 Chests on the island, 10 can be obtained just by completing the World Quest calledDrama Phantasmagoria: Tale of the Sword-Wielding Princess!

You need to use thePlace in Waterfeature in the Minacious Isle to switch the topography of the island between past and present and spawn all the Chests in this guide.

Apart from the Chests from the Minacious Isle, you can also loot Chests from various World Quests and puzzles that unlock from day five onwards after completing the final Event Quest,Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie.

How to find Chests in the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact
While some Chests are easy to find as they’re just lying around the islands, some are a little trickier to spot. Upon heading to the Chest locations marked above, watch out for obstacles, such as Time Trial Challenges,Bloatty Floatties, and puzzles that could reward you with Chests. Meanwhile, any of the Chests located in the water can be reached using theWaverider.
The GAA islands have a uniquegliding challengeindicator, which looks like a floating arrow pointing downward (see the first image above). Additionally, if you head to a Chest’s location and find nothing, break the nearby objects as some Chests are hidden behind breakables.
