Two Indie Devs About to Release Relaxing Train Game
The indie developers Akos Makovics and Fabi Smith, alongside publisherFuture Friends Games, announced on Wednesday, that Islands & Trains will launch on Steam on May 29. Most modern computers should be able to run the game. TheSteam pagesays that you’ll need an Intel Core i3 2.00 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 or higher. It also supports Windows 7 and up, but the page recommends to use Windows 10.
If you’ve ever wanted to be an architect of train lines, Islands & Trains may be for you. You’re creating tiny dioramas, idyllic villages, and serene wildlife areas to go around the train tracks you lay down. You’re also placing down animals in the countryside. The developers want you to “get lost in finding the most perfect place all these little pieces.” The game says it stands out by having “No goals, no timer, no missions, [and] no stress.”

Akos and Fabi’s Indie Project
Islands & Trains launches alongside Rokaplay’s Cozy & Family Friends Festival on Steam, which will return this year for the third time.
The developers Akos and Fabi come from Hungary and Germany. The two friends decided to create their first game in 2021. Akos is a software engineer and Fabi has been a kindergarten teacher for 15 years. Fabi has been dreaming of opening their own kindergarten one day. Their passion for digital choo-choos has inspired the creation of Islands & Trains, which releases later this month. They are inspired by games like Islanders,Dorfromantik, andTownscaper.

Future Friends Games will be publishing Islands & Trains. They have previously helped release Freeride, Gourdlets, and Europa (which received a Very Positive score on Steam).
