In an interview with SFX back when James Gunn became the new co-head of DC Studios, Brenton Thwaites was asked whether he would be interested in a Nightwing movie. The actor revealed that he is quite hopeful for it but leaves the decision with Warner Bros. Discovery.
“I have thought about that. I would love to do that. It’s not up to me, it’s up to Warner Bros. Things at Warner Bros are changing quite drastically. Their next slate of films could be really exciting. We just have to wait and see. It would be a great honour to bring Nightwing to the big screen.”
The actor’s comments can be taken in a positive way that maybe director Matt Reeves might just allow the actor to portray the role of Dick Grayson/Robin or Nightwing in his upcoming magnum opusThe Batman Part II.The film is currently set for a release date of 3rd October 2025 in the U.S.
