This auction was hosted in honor of the birth of the Hip-Hop music culture on its 50th anniversary.

The sale was stated to put the ring for bidding and was expected to be worth $200,000 when it would exchange hands from the auction to the bidder. But to everyone’s shock and surprise, theHotline Blingsinger went on and single-handedly won the bids and bought the iconic piece of jewelry for a whopping $1 Million, paying five times more to own the ring that one of the greatest Rap artists adorned on his finger before his untimely demise.
