Elden Ring Nightreignis ambitious enough considering one death spells the end of your journey. No saves around that you can reload to. And you can’t always rely on your team if you don’t have a party full of friends rather than strangers. Which means that the Nightlord bosses are the hardest challenges you’ll face.

Elden Ring Nightreign: 5 Hardest Achievements/Trophies and How to Get Them

For all you dedicated achievement hunters, these trophies may require quite a few hours of your time to earn.

Although there are only eight of them, they are the most demanding encounters, with a handful of them capable of totally wiping your team if you’re not careful. Some take precedence over others, but understanding how thesepowerful bosseswork may give you the edge you need to survive to the end.

Team lineup for Elden Ring Nightreign

8Maris, Fathom of Night

Lightning Damage

As long as you have a balanced team,Marisis one of the least difficult bosses to face in Nightreign. You’ll need to tackle this battle with at least one ranged fighter because Maris will fly around. Honestly, a pair of ranged fighters can take this boss down together if you both show up with either spells or bows that have lightning damage.

The most dangerous thing about Maris might be the exploding jellyfish they’ll throw at you. But as long as you time your dodges and stay out of the way, you should be good. Also, come with some sleep resistance so you’re not stalled. By the end of the fight, it’s clear that the hardest thing about Maris is how long the battle can drag out if you don’t have a ranged character on the team.

7Gladius, Beast of Night

Tricephalos

Fire Damage

Holy Damage

Gladiusis the first Nightlord you’ll face and it serves as a solid introduction to the game overall. Even though you’ll meet it first, it still stands above Maris simply for how much more effort you’ll put into the fight in comparison. This Cerberus-like wolf will eventually split itself, giving you a total of three enemies to face.

Yet again, a good team comp comes into play here. As long as you all can separate and deal with the individual wolves when split, then you should be able to tackle Gladius quite well. It does have the lowest HP of all the Nightlords, so once you get a handle on it, you’ll succeed. Otherwise, you don’t want all three to gang up on you.

6Gnoster, Wisdom of Night

Sentient Pest

Poison || Magic Damage

Unlike with Gladius, Gnoster starts the match with multiple opponents: a moth and a scorpion. Since we’ve got a flying enemy, you want to have a ranged character on your side. The main concern here is that the moth will drop poison clouds on top of the scorpion dealing physical damage and poison up close.

How to Beat Sentient Pest in Elden Ring Nightreign

Every FromSoftware game needs a duo fight, and Gnoster is just that fight for Elden Ring Nightreign.

Halfway through the battle, they’ll merge, so having a single enemy for the team to focus on can make things easier. Bring in fire-damaging weapons and you’ll steadily chip away at their HP to win the fight as soon as possible.

5Adel, Baron of Night

Gaping Jaw

Adel lands in the middle ground in terms of hardest Nightlord bosses you’ll face in Elden Ring Nightreign. TheBaron of Nightcan abruptly grab if you’re too close, shelling out heavy damage. It also has a potent long-range lightning attack, though. And not to mention its incredible AoE damage.

The versatility of Adel makes it a threatening boss. It’s faster than you think, so understanding the mechanics of the game down to controlling the camera will help you come out on top. Team composition can vary here as both close and long-ranged fighters can get the job done. A lot of your survival is also based on how well you’re able to dodge and whether you can stun Adel long enough to land good hits.

4Caligo, Miasma of Night

Fissure in the Fog

Frostbite || Magic Damage

Now we’re truly getting into the thick of things in Nightreign when facingCaligo. For those OG Elden Ring players, Caligo will remind you of those tough dragon fights. It flies around, has ranged attacks, and if you get too close, it’ll swipe out with heavy physical damage. But the hardest part about fighting Caligo is that it can easily one-shot you if you’re not careful.

When it gears up for its epic attack, you have the chance to jump behind an ice pillar for protection. Use fire damaging weapons and spells to inflict damage over time, but you’ll need a lot of it to tackle its high HP. And watch out for the Frostbite as that can quickly take you down.

3Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow

Darkdrift Knight

If you aren’t good at remaining mobile, you’ll have a difficult time facing down Fulghor. The boss can be terrifying in a fight due to one simple thing:it’s fast. Fulghor will have you jumping and dodging as it rushes in, using incredible close-range attacks and slams to knock you down. It follows all that up with strong AoE attacks that are tough to avoid.

How to Beat Darkdrift Knight in Elden Ring Nightreign

The four-legged Fulghor will put up a struggle, but we have the starts to help you take him down in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Your best bet is to stop him before it gets too far. Utilize its weakness of lightning to both damage and interrupt those major attacks. If everyone on the team has these types of weapons and spells, even better.

2Libra, Creature of Night

Equilibrious Beast

Madness || Holy Damage

Libra is a punishing bossin Nightreign, but it’s undeniable how exciting the fight can be. It challenges your skills, your team composition and your battlefield knowledge. It’s yet another speedy enemy, so be prepared for a near relentless assault. Although Libra both inflicts madness and is weak to it, you don’t want to focus heavily on it as that weapon type is scarce.

Instead, bring in fire or even holy damage as it’s vulnerable to those types and those weapons are easier to find. The primary concern are the sigils. When they appear, you and your team need to take them down quickly. Lacking ranged companions can make this part of the fight hurt (or even cause a devastating death).

1Heolstor the Nightlord

Night Aspect

Almost everything

There’s a reason Heolstor is thefinal and hardest boss in Elden Ring Nightreign. This enemy can be catastrophic to face down for the ill-prepared because it has masteredalmost everything. It can inflict just about any status effect from the other Nightlords, it’s remarkably fast and it can take you on at any range. Meaning you and the team must be prepared to adapt on the fly.

The main way to win here is to have everyone show up with holy damage. Without it, you might as well throw in the towel as Heolstor hits hard and fast. And just when you think you’ve won as you drop the HP to 0, the second phase of the fight starts and the Nightlord comes back stronger than ever. With little time to catch your breath, Heolstor embodies everything challenging and fun about Nightreign.
