Gemini will be more accessible than ever before
Android Auto is becoming more user-friendly with Gemini
With its recent announcement, Google clearly aims to enhance the accessibility of Gemini, particularly when your smartphone is not within reach. Starting with smartwatches, Gemini is expected on Wear OS devices “in the coming months.” Google highlights that having Gemini available on Android smartwatches will make interacting with it much easier when you don’t have a free hand, such as when cycling or cooking.
Once Gemini is available on Wear OS, users will be able to interact with it through conversational prompts on their smartwatch, such as asking it to remember their gym locker number or seeking assistance with a recipe when their hands are occupied while cooking.

Next, Gemini is coming to Android Auto, which Google claims will provide an enhanced experience compared to the current Google Assistant that has powered Android Auto in cars for many years. Google’s goal with Gemini’s integration with Android Auto is to “make your drive more productive and enjoyable.”
Users will be able to have natural conversations with Android Auto via Gemini, removing the need for precise commands or prompts like with Google Assistant. Additionally, it will improve drivers' hands-free navigation. Google claims that Gemini can not only suggest optimal routes but also identify helpful stops during your trip, like charging stations. Drivers can also take advantage of other Gemini features with Android Auto, such as a rundown of the news or sports updates.

Lastly, Gemini is set to debut on Google TV in your living room and Android XR. On Google TV, it will assist users in discovering the perfect YouTube videos, TV shows, or movies to watch. Google has also announced its intention to introduce Gemini to Android XR, their extended reality headset created in partnership with Samsung, slated for release “later this year.” Gemini on smartwatches, Android Auto, and Google TV will all be available “in the coming months.”
