Headlining theOcean’smovies remake, George Clooney has made a massive name for himself as he was the center of each film. The actor portrayed the role of Danny Ocean, his portrayal of the iconic figure with great confidence and charisma has earned him immense love from the viewers. Clooney worked alongside some of the biggest names in the remake version of the film, names like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and many more.

George Clooney’s remake version of the 1960s film is popular on its own. However, some fans often denounce him stating that Frank Sinatra’s 1960s film was better than the remake by theTicket to Paradiseactor. And Clooney is not a fan of those people as he criticises them in an interview.

George Clooney Is Furious At the ‘Fake’ OriginalOcean’s 11’sFans

Directed by Lewis Stone, the originalOcean’s 11film was released in 1960, which featuredFrank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and other notable names of that era. In the film, Sinatra portrays the role of Danny Ocean, who recruits ten of his former Army buddies to perform a daring heist. The film was loved by the viewers but failed to impress the critics.

On the other hand,George Clooney’sOcean’s Elevenremake was a blockbuster both commercially and critically. His 2001 film was the remake of the 1960 film, following a similar plot, and bringing together a star-studded cast consisting of Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and many more. However, there are some ‘fake’ fans of the 1960 film, who criticize the remake.

During an exclusive interview with the Los Angeles Times viaRolling Stone, the actor was asked about his experience with Danny Ocean and what he thought of the original film. He jokingly mentioned how he was tired of some fans saying that they were a fan of the 1960 film than his remake.

“Everybody will say, you know, ‘Oh, that’s one of my favorite films,’and I’ll always say, ‘Have you ever seen it?’”

Though George Clooney joked about his comments, he ardently believes that the original film was popular among its viewers because it featured legendary names of its period. Whereas, his remake was popular as it grossed $450.7 million at the worldwide box office.

George Clooney Pranked Brad Pitt DuringOcean’s 11Shooting

Brad Pittis quite a serious actor, as he has worked in films likeFight Club, Fury, Se7en,and many more. However, when the cameras are not rolling he is a funny guy. Pitt is a great guy off-screen and his antics behind the scenes have added to his popularity, thanks to some of the pranks by his best friend andOcean’s 11co-star, George Clooney.

Appearing as a guest on theGraham Norton ShowviaCutToTheCast,he shared that he pulled a notorious prank on Pitt, which he thought was funny until it put his co-star in big trouble.

“We were doing Ocean’s 11. I think it was the first one and one of my favorite things is to get those things that go around your license plate or a bumper sticker. Because you never go to the back of your car and look. I found a bumper sticker in the shape of a pot plant that said ‘f**k cops’. I figured there’s no way you don’t get pulled over and uhhhh, he [Brad Pitt] got pulled over.”

This was one of the most hilarious pranks that the actor has pulled on theBullet Trainactor, but their friendship deepened and became infamous as they continued to pull such pranks on each other.
