Revival series fever is in the air, withMad About Youclose to jumping on board very soon. StarsPaul Reiser and Helen Hunthave closed deals with Sony Pictures Television. Series co-creator Danny Jacobson is also officially on board, leaving the next step up to finding a network to put it out, which shouldn’t be very hard to do at all.RoseanneandWill and Graceare currently successfully crushing the current television landscape as well as making old fans happy in the process.

Reports about a possibleMad About Yourevival series first popped up late last year, but star Paul Reiser was skeptical since he felt that the show had already told the future with the series finale. That’s all reportedly changed for now since he and Helen Hunt have officially closed their deals. BothWill and GraceandRoseannehave ignored some aspects of the final seasons of their respective shows.Roseanneis completely leaving the last season out, ignoring it like it never even happened, and making jokes all along the way about it.

Helen Hunt recently talked about how excited she was to get to watch theWill and Gracerevival series and noted how impressed she is with theway that they pulled it all off. Hunt also mentioned that she and Paul Reiser are still close, revealing that they grab lunch together once a month, so there’s still a relationship there that never ended for the co-stars. She just hopes that everybody will be able to accept that they’re all older now. Hunt had this to say.

“The dream is to get to do it. I’ve been watchingWill and Graceand laughing so hard out loud. They’re just crushing it. I have remained very, very close friends with Paul. Reboot or no reboot, we have lunch once a month. We really enjoy and care for each other. It was a very loving piece of work. We loved it. It would be fun to work on something that’s really about love.” We’ll be older though. I hope people are prepared for that. I’m not prepared for it!"

Mad About Youoriginally ran for 7 seasons from 1992 to 1999 and was highly rated. During the last season of the show, both Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt were able to command $1 million an episode. However, the last season saw a sharp decline in viewers due to a timeslot change.Mad About Youwas nominated for 5 Emmys and saw Hunt win a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Thought theMad About Yourevival series is not 100 percent official yet, but if the show ends up happening, it will be set in present day after the Paul and Jamie Buchman character’s daughter goes off to college. TheMad About Yourevival seriesseems pretty much like a no-brainer, but it’s unclear if the hit show will return to NBC.
