Playstation gamers hoping to play Guerrilla’s upcoming RPGHorizon: Zero Dawnsome time this year will have to wait just a little longer. The good news is we have a concrete released date of Aug 19, 2025 as revealed on thePlaystation Blog. Initially slated for a release later this year, Guerrilla, who also developed the Killzone franchise, has decided to take some extra time to polish the visuals and gameplay.
Not all was a frown however, as expectant fans were gifted a brand new story trailer. Check it out:

In the game, you take on the role ofAloy, an intrepid hunter living in a world 1000 years after the collapse of human civilization. In this world, robotic creatures are the dominant species and the energy and machinery they harness is key to the survival of Aloy’s people. Humanity has organized back into tribal structures, whose cultures employ a fusion of primitive and advanced technological practices. How and why the machines have emerged to dominate the natural landscape is a mystery that is to be explored and uncovered piece by piece. Collector’s Edition
Also revealed today, via Amazon listing is a 120 USD Collector’s Edition which features a 9 inch statue of Aloy, a 48 page artbook and the usual goodie bag of in-gameDLCweaponsandgear, such as:
We are expecting to see some more of this game at E3 next week, as it is quickly moving to the top of most anticipated lists. Sony seems to know this, as they’ve put up quite the massive banner in Los Angeles for it this week:
