Finding Glass Walls
Depending on how many extra content packs you’ve purchased over the years, the number of options in your Build Mode and Buy Mode can start to become overwhelming. That also means that it can become increasingly difficult to find new items in the middle of the massive number of old items.
For the new glass walls that have been added to Build Mode, you want to go into theWall Pattern Option, then search under Misc. to find them. If you can’t find them, you can always try typing the item name you’re looking for into the search bar.
Placing Glass Walls
Instead of being walls that you place during the actual building process,glass walls act more like a wallpaper option. When you go into Build Mode, there are a few different glass wall designs you can pick from.
Choose the one that you want to use, then hover over the area of your house that you want to have glass walls, and hold down shift when you click to apply the wallpaper to that room. Unlike normal wallpaper, the glass walls are automatically applied to both sides of the wall, which makes them properly look like greenhouse walls as intended.
Since glass walls are essentially fancy wallpaper, they don’t have any garden benefits or act like a greenhouse. Instead, they’re purely there for aesthetic purposes, which is also fun in its own way. Now, players have even more options at their disposal to create their dream homes in The Sims 4.
