As you progress through the main storyline for No Rest For The Wicked, you will eventually come across a man named Rattigan, who is trapped in his wagon cell. You can free him but it’s not immediately clear how you’re supposed to. Here’s what you need to know to do exactly that.
Rattigan is a member of the Risen who was captured at some point during your arrival at Sacrament. He is a man who refuses to answer any questions or cooperate with you in any manner if you do not first free him from his cell, and he tells you as such.
How to open Rattigan’s cell in No Rest For The Wicked (Map)
To free Rattigan from his cell, you’ll need to get theWagon Cell Keyfrom a guard sent to wash off in a fountain. The quest doesn’t detail exactly where this fountain is, but fortunately, it is a lot closer than you’d think. The guard in question is located in theNorthwesternportion of Sacrament, just left of the main keep area.

Here, you’ll find a singular large fountain and a guard who is resting near it. This guard is, for reasons undisclosed, unable to act against you, so feel free to walk up to him and take theWagon Cell Keyfrom his body.
Once you have the key, head back to Rattigan’s cell and give him the key. Rattigan doesn’t immediately break free as that would draw the attention of the other guards stationed nearby him. Instead, he gives you insight into Risen’s whereabouts and tells you to meet him at the entrance toThe Black Trench, a labyrinthine sewer under Sacrament. Doing this progresses the main story, but it isn’t timed, so feel free to continue it at your leisure.
