Whether it’s grabbing the remains of a creature in the wild or harvesting something in nature,Grounded 2certainly throws a significant number of materials at the player, hoping they interact with every single one of them.
That’s the case with the Pine Needle, a seemingly important crafting material that helps you in the early games, along with allowing you to craft some cosmetically appealing structures. Where to find them is a little trickier than most, but we have their location in this guide.
Where to Find Pine Needles
As you might expect, Pine Needles are mostly found around the nature that produces them, and that is pine trees. For the most part, there aren’t too many trees to speak of in the park, with the ones that have been planted being on the edges of the zones. Specifically, they are found in the southwest and northwest, with the other corners being restricted or dedicated to the statue.
As you might expect, the fall leaves of the southwest in theEntrance zonedoesn’t exactly scream pine, as pine trees don’t typically change color in the winter – that’s why they make such good Christmas trees.
So that just leaves the northwest, which is conveniently named Pine Hill. This location houses some of the more dangerous creatures, specifically spiders and a praying mantis, but it is also lively with all sorts of wildlife. This includes Lingonberries which are used for upgrading your Omni-Tool and armor, and of course the Pine Needles.
To get there, head in from the south right up against the northern side of the hotdog stand. Climb up next to the foul food item and then progress in the forest of trees. There are some dangerous Orb Weavers around, so be careful.
Once you’ve come out of the forest and into the open area, you should be on an elevated platform overlooking the park. From here, all you have to do is look at the floor as there will be Pine Needles scattered about that you’re able to easily pick up.
Alternatively, if you don’t feel like climbing up the west side of the map, there are Pine Needles that can be found on the Picnic Table near the north of the map.
What Are Pine Needles Used For?
Pine Needles are a very common material for crafting, having a large catalog of items that can be created with. By far the most important aspect is upgrading your Omni-Tool’s shovel component, which can be done at an Ominent base.
