As you explore the varied environments of Palworld, you will come across various Eggs that you’ll undoubtedly want to hatch—who knows what kind of Pal is waiting inside? But first, you’ll need to unlock the Egg Incubator to do so.
Everything to Know About Incubating Eggs in Palworld
Obtaining the Egg Incubator and breeding Pals allows you to both produce and fuse Pals with better stats and skills than that of their parent Pals. Pals do not evolve in Palworld, and so improving Pals relies heavily on breeding quality Pals. But you’ll need the Egg Incubator to do it, and unlocking it isn’t a simple process.
How to Unlock the Egg Incubator in Palworld
You can unlock the Egg Incubator atlevel seven, at which point you’ll find it in the rightmost purple column of the Technology tab. These items are labeled asAncient Technologyand differ from the regular Technology tab because it requires both Ancient Technology Points and Ancient Civilization Parts to construct.
You can obtainAncient Technology Pointsby defeatingTower Bosses, and you’ll learn to know what these are quite quickly due to the Rayne Syndicate Tower being a Tutorial requirement. You can also obtain Ancient Technology Points by defeating the strongAlpha Palswhich roam freely in the wild.

Ancient Civilization Partsare obtained by defeatingboss Palswhich lurk in Dungeons and Caves. You will find Dungeons in Palworld, as they stand out against their environment with an entrance marked by a glowing aura. Caves, on the other hand, are harder to spot and are non-static spawns that appear temporarily in-game. You can find Cave entrances against the sides of cliffs and mountains. When you do, you should make the most of it, as it might not be there later.
Once you have unlocked the Egg Incubator with Ancient Technology Points, you will need the following materials to construct it:

Choose an area in the boundary of your Base to build the Egg Incubator, and then the fun begins.
Using the Egg Incubator in Palworld
To use the Egg Incubator in Palworld all you need to do isinteract with it and choose an Eggpulled from either your inventory or storage to place inside it. Once an egg is placed into the Egg Incubator, you’ll see a countdown timer until the Egg hatches. All Eggs will hatch when this countdown timer ends, but you can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes by meeting the temperature preferences of the Pal inside of the Egg, which you will be able to see when the Egg is incubated.
Heaters and Coolerscan be unlocked in the Technology tab at levels 17 and 18 respectively, and they’ll require Ingots and elemental organs to craft. Once you’ve placed them beside the incubator, you’ll know that they’re successful by interacting with the Incubator once again and noting the significantly reduced hatch time for the Egg. Once the countdown has completed, the Egg will hatch, and when you interact with the Incubator, the newly hatched Pal will be placed into your Palbox.

Now that you have the Egg Incubator unlocked, you can not only empty your Storage of all of those Eggs that you have found in the wild, but also begin tobreed Palsfor better stats and skills, which will help you beat some of the more challenging bosses in the game.
