If you’re looking to survive in the wild world ofThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to know how to fight and get a leg up on the opposition. While there are a variety of skills that you’ll be able to utilize, sometimes you may need to fight dirty and take any advantage you can get.Tripping enemiesis a rather unique skill that will work great against some of the larger enemies inTears of the Kingdom, such asLynelsorBoss Bokoblins. But, how do you use this skill, and what kind of an advantage will it actually give you?
How To Give Enemies The Slip And Also A Trip In Tears of the Kingdom
The first thing you’ll need to do is get your hands on plenty ofChuChu Jelly. These common enemies can be defeated with a few whacks, so you won’t need to worry about losing against them. You’ll want at leastfive Jellyin your inventory to start using this particular trick.

After you defeat aChuChu,they’ll drop at least oneJellyfor you to add to your inventory, so you may need tofarm these enemies for a little bit to obtain more than enough. It doesn’t hurt to have more than you would think you need, as this can be a tricky maneuver to pull off.
Once you have obtained enough Jelly, enter theInventory Screenby pressing the+ Buttonon your controller of choice. If you’re in a battle against a major foe, like aLynelthat is ready to charge at you, this is exactly where you’ll want to be. Press theX Buttonwhile hovering over the item you would like to hold, in this case, the Jelly, and addfive of themto your grip.

While I may not be facing off against a major foe in the photo above, it’s meant more for demonstrative purposes. At this point, you’ll want todropyour Jelly in the immediate line of movement of the enemy you’re facing. For example,Lynelscharge up for a bit and then will rush directly at you. If they hit theChuchu Jelly, they’ll go humorously flying past you, giving you the perfect opportunity to sneak in a few strikes against them.

Test this method out on any enemy that you’d like, just to see if it works. They may need to charge toward you for it to work properly, but you’ll at least have a new defensive mechanism. You won’t be able to use theD-Pad Upmethod to grab and hold your items, as you can’t grab enough of them at a time, so you’ll need to make your way into the inventory to make this method work.
