With Chris Evans headlining the films as one of the franchise’s most charismatic superheroes, the films, and the actor touched a chord with the viewers while also providing a perfect segue into the next phase of the MCU narratives.

In the films, Chris Evans’ body double for the action sequences was played by stuntman Chris Brewster, who is well known for his work in many action flicks. Brewster, in a recent interview, spoke about his various experiences working as a body double for Chris Evans and others and also narrated an intimidating experience that he had with Canadian MMA champion Georges St-Pierre.

Chris Evans’ Body Double Had A Close Shave With Georges St-Pierre

InCaptain America: The Winter Solider, stuntman, and stunt coordinatorChris Brewsterwas appointed as the body double for Marvel starChris Evansfor the intense action sequences. Brewster, an experienced campaigner who had worked with many top celebrities, faced moments of doubt and fear when he was asked to face Georges St-Pierre, one of the greatest MMA fighters in the world. St-Pierre, who was cast in the role of Bartoc the Leaper in the film, was required to throw a deadly kick at Brewster who was filling in for Evans at the time. Recalling the intimidating experience, the stuntman said,

“I had to walk with my face this way and one of the best fighters in the entire world is going to run up from behind me and kick me in the spot. I thought ‘I might not walk home after this’”

The scene though, became a walk in the park for Brewster thanks to Georges St-Pierre’s incredible control over his movements that ensured the stuntman was unharmed despite the MMA champion exerting his full force into the kick.

When asked about which of the films in the MCU appealed to him the most, Evans chose 2014’sCaptain America: The Winter Soldieras his favorite in the Marvel franchise.

“I got a lot of love for the Marvel world, so Winter Soldier was something to me that I really was like, ‘Wow, that’s exactly how I wanted that to go.’ So, maybe Winter Soldier.”
