WithJonathan Majorsback on the big screen with his new movie,Magazine Dreams, the actor is hoping for anMCUcomeback, as he recently revealed he would love to play Kang the Conqueror again. His supervillain was being set up as the MCU’s next big bad after Thanos. Majors first appeared inLokiSeason 1, where he revealed there are countless variants who all bow to one dominant version of Kang. Another variant appeared inAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, although it’s probably best if that film is forgotten. Majors was let go by Marvel Studios after being convicted of two misdemeanor counts of harassment and reckless assault.
During an interview withUSA Todayto promoteMagazine Dreams, Majors opened up about his desire to return to the MCU. “Yeah, of course I say yes,” the actor said. As is the case with almost every “canceled” celebrity, Majors' departure caused a rift in the fan base, with many understanding why Marvel Studios' swiftly let him go, while others plastered the mantra “innocent until proven guilty” across social media (he was proven guilty). Majors is now mounting a Hollywood comeback, and his villainous MCU role is the big hurdle he has to overcome. He continued:

“Disney, Marvel Studios, I love them. Tom Hiddleston, loved working with that guy. Loved working with Paul Rudd. Loved working with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. I love the industry so much, and now I’m in the place where I can feel the love from them and actually express my love for them.”

Another Actor Could Take Over as Kang the Conqueror in the MCU
Although Jonathan Majors wants his old role back, it is unlikely that the MCU would take him back after the guilty verdict andrecently released audio recording.Reinstating Majors as Kang the Conqueror would be a PR nightmare for the studio, as many fans would rally against whatever film he is cast in due to the severity of the convictions.
When Majors was fired from Marvel, rumors quickly circulated online that another actor would take over the role as Marvel Studios reportedly still has a desire to use Kang the Conqueror in the future.Colman Domingo was the hot favoriteamong the fan base.
