The tragic passing of Mathew Perry this year has been one of the most shocking news in the entertainment world. The actor, most popularly known for playing Chandler Bing inFRIENDSwas believed to be in the best phase of his life as he was getting the best treatment and also had been sober for many years.
The official cause of Perry’s death was revealed recently and it was determined that the actor died from acute effects of ketamine. He was taking ketamine infusion therapy for some time and he wrote about it in his memoir that was published last year.

Matthew Perry Wrote About Torturous Ketamine Therapy Procedure In His Memoir
Matthew Perryhad been very vocal about his horrible past which was consumed by his drug and alcohol addictions that tremendously ruined his health. In the past couple of years, he had become better and had been sober while also receiving several treatments. One of them was undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to deal with his mental health and ease bodily pain.
In his memoirFriends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, Perry wrote about his experiences with this particular treatment and the love-hate relationship hop he had with the anesthetic drug. It was a painful experience for the actor but was a necessary step to his well-being. He said, (viaDaily Mail)
The actor was revealed to have died from acute effects of ketamine. (viaIndependent) The medical examiner also claimed that the ketamine found in his system couldn’t be from the infusion that he took a week and a half before his death. It is still a mystery to them about how fresh ketamine was found in his system after his death.

In an interview withEntertainment Tonight, she talked about how devastating it is for Perry to have tragically passed on so young. She also claimed that one must appreciate his victories and keep living in a positive way. She said,
“The sudden passing of anybody so young is heartbreaking. I think that, you know, it just helps all of us just appreciate what we have and to keep going in a positive way as best we can.”
Perry also had nothing but sweet words for Roberts in his memoir revealing that he broke with her only because he knew he was not good enough for someone like her. It must have been heartbreaking for Roberts to hear the death of someone whom she had a close relationship with back in the day.
