It looks like Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have a lot to celebrate when it comes to the second anniversary of their action-RPG Nioh. They have reached over 2.5 million games sold worldwide.
Nioh Reaches Over 2.5 Million Copies Sold Worldwide
It was two years ago whenTeam NinjareleasedNioh, a brutal action-RPG with challenging combat set in a dark samurai fantasy world. Marking the second anniversary, Koei Tecmo the publisher of the title celebrates a 2.5 million milestone in copies sold worldwide. It was last year in May when the titlereached 2 million copies.

Nioh is inspired by the Sengoku perioud in Japan, set in the start of the 17th century. Taking on the role of an Irishman named William, players undertake the challenge to master a number of Japanese type weapons as they fight a range of horrific and deadly enemies.
It’s been a while since last year where Team Ninja revealed atE3 that there would be a sequel, Nioh 2. The teaser trailer didn’t share much but we later learned players will be able to create their own unique characters. Just as the first Nioh has a demo for players to try, Nioh 2 will have it’s own before it’s release.
