WhileRed Dead Redemption 2launches on October 26th, new details of a companion app has also been announced releasing on iOS and Google Play store the same day.
We are days away from the launch of Rockstar Games’s latest with a fewleakson the horizon, it looks like they still have a few official reveals up their sleeve. They now announce that players will be able to download a companion app, to help assist them on their outlaw journey into the wild west.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Companion App is to be used as a secondary screen featuring the map, letting you zoom in and out, set waypoints, mark areas of interest all in real time. You can also accessArthur Morgan’s character stats and in-game journal, so you can keep track of your details. The option to turn off HUD is also possible to be controlled straight from app. Further features outlined from Rockstar include:

The companion app will probably be very handy for checking your surroundings without having to bring up the map on screen all the time, letting you stay fully immersed in the game and be able to glance at map when needed.
