How to Romance Characters in Rise of the Ronin

To romance characters in Rise of the Ronin, you must raise your Favor with them to the maximum level. Raising Favor can be accomplished in multiple ways, but the best way to deepen your bond with someone is to give them gifts that they like. Gifts can only be given occasionally, so ensure you’re giving them theirfavorite thingsand not random items.

Major characters also haveside queststhat you can complete to raise their Favor significantly. You can see these on the map and in your quest log. If a mission has a character’s face picture next to it, then that quest will increase your Favor with that person upon completion. Not every Rise of the Ronin character has a questline associated with them, however, so make sure to speak to your romantic target as often as possible to gain Favor withdialogue options and choices.

Once you’ve reached maximum Favor with someone, you will unlock aspecial dialogue optionwith them that will allow you to develop aVeiled Vow, which is Rise of the Ronin’s version of a romantic relationship. Depending on the character, you’ll need to bepretty far in the storybefore the option will show up even if you have maximum Favor with them.
