Sgt. Slaughter has had a wide range of career appearances. Born Robert Rudolph Remus on August 27th, 1948 he was best known by his ring name Sgt. Slaughter. During the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Slaughter had success in the National Wrestling Alliance, American Wrestling Association, and the World Wrestling Federation. He won the WWF Championship and headlined WrestleMania VII in 1991. Slaughter also captured the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship twice. He even became a Iraqi sympathizer and turned against fans (storyline only.) Which of course got him death threats and bags of hate mail. He is a WWE Hall of Famer and was inducted as part of the class of 2004.

In the 1980s, an alternate version of the Sgt. Slaughter character was incorporated into theG.I. Joe: A Real American Herotoy line as well as its animated series and comic books. Sgt. Slaughter first appeared on the animated series in 1985. And from 1985-1989 Hasbro released a new Sgt. Slaughter action figure every year.

Slaughter is no stranger to action figures but this might be his shining moment and a crown jewel for collectors.
