In the case of theHeavy class, Trials revolve around mastering the use ofIron Haloand beefy weapons like theMulti-MeltaandHeavy Plasma Incinerator. Each of the three trials rewards you with25 Requisitionand1 Master-Crafted Armory Dataif you manage to ace it. Here’s some useful tips and tricks that will help you master every Heavy class Trial:

The first Trial is pretty straightforward and simply requires you to kill a small handful of Tyranids in less than 40 seconds using yourHeavy Bolter. Ideally, you’ll want tomake use of theIron Haloto soak up much of the incoming damage. However, using the ability is actually optional. As long as you kill all the enemies in the required time, you’ll receive all the rewards.
Although optional, we do encourage you to take advantage ofIron Haloto negate sniper fire. Taking a direct hit from the sniper will knock you off balance and cause you to lose precious seconds, so make sure to either dodge or absorb its attacks. Another important thing to keep in mind is that theHeavy Bolterwill only fire at full speed when you’re in ADS (aim down sights) mode. You can also zoom in while in ADS mode if you’re struggling to hit the sniper in the back of the arena.

The Iron Halo can be turned on and off to conserve energy.
Ceramite Strongpoint
This next Trial is a bit more difficult and requires precise timing. The objective is to capture and hold a zone while also eliminating all the enemies in the area in 60 seconds or less. If you leave the capture zone at any point, you’ll fail the Trial and will have to start over again. Your loadout will consist of the Multi-Melta andPlasma Pistol.
Melt the first wave of enemies you’ll encounter as you approach the capture zone and prepare for a second wave to spawn shortly after. Once you’re done with the second wave, turn around and melt the third wave ofHormagauntsbefore switching to thePlasma Pistolto deal with the enemies in the back. Keep in mind that you can’t leave the capture zone, so you’ll need to eliminate the enemies using ranged weapons from afar. Once those are dealt with, activate the Iron Halo and switch back to theMulti-Meltato finish off the remaining enemies.

Use charged shots to quickly dispatch the ranged Tyranid Warrior.
Covering Fire
The third and final Trial for the Heavy class can be a bit annoying as it requires you to constantly switch between your two weapons. Your main weapon for this Trial is theHeavy Plasma Incineratorwhile your secondary one is thePlasma Pistol. You have a fairly generous amount of time at your disposal (80 seconds) to kill all the enemies in the area, but the kicker is that you can’t let either of your Plasma weapons overheat during the Trial. In addition, you also need to absorb a certain amount of damage with theIron Haloto ace the Trial. You can activate the ability from the get-go or save it until you have to fight the last group of enemies.
The main thing you’ll need to worry about here isnot letting your weapons overheat, which is easier said than done when you’re assaulted by Tyranids and shooting frantically. Start by blasting the first wave with a couple of charged shots before switching to the secondary weapon to finish off any stragglers. The handful of enemies shooting from the side platforms can then be dispatched with a couple of well-aimedHeavy Plasma Incineratorshots. You’ll mainly want to use your primary weapon to deal with the enemies in the back as well, especially the Warriors, but don’t forget to switch weapons if the Incinerator starts overheating.

Charged shots with Plasma weapons deal AoE damage, but they cause the weapons to overheat faster.
