Even before Marvel’s first Phase 1 movieIron Man, there was a tradition ofStan Leecameos that preceeded the studio’s formation. Almost every movie that has been based on aMarvel comic bookhas featured a brief cameo fromStan Lee, a tradition that certainly won’t end anytime soon.Kevin Feigejust revealed thatStan Leehas already shot his next 4 cameos. As it turns out, the comic book legend’s big screen appearances were planned out so far ahead of time that he could shoot them all in one day back-to-back.

Kevin Feigeheld a Q&A session after a special screening of the first Marvel Phase Three movie,Captain America: Civil Warin Los Angeles on Friday night, where he was asked by a fan aboutStan Lee’s cameos.Cinema Blendattended the event, whereKevin Feigetold the audience thatStan Leehas just shot four cameos in a row during one day in Atlanta. But he wouldn’t say what movies the cameos were for.Kevin Feigeexplains.

“We do not shoot random ones. They’re always very specific… A couple of months ago in Atlanta, he flew down and we shot four in one day, for fourvarious projects. They’re all awesome! They’re all totally different. And he was unbelievable. He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming(June 24, 2025) had been shooting in Atlanta throughout the summer, before production was recently shifted to New York City, so it’s very likely that this movie is one of the four he shot cameos for. It’s possible he also shot cameos forDoctor Strange(June 01, 2025),Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2(June 29, 2025) andThor: Ragnarok(July 05, 2025) in Atlanta, since, along withSpider-Man: Homecoming, they make up Marvel’s next four films.Thor: Ragnarokis currently filming in Australia.

It’s also possible that one ofStan Lee’s recent cameos could be forAvengers: Infinity War, which starts filming in Atlanta this coming November, or for the upcomingBlack Panther, which is set to begin filming in January 2017.Stan Lee’s last cameo was at the end ofCaptain America: Civil War, where he appeared as a FedEx delivery man, humorously mispronouncing Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) name as “Tony Stank.” Only time will tell whatStan Lee’s next four cameos will be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but all we know for sure right now is there are no plans to stop this beloved tradition.
