If there’s one thing that Ubisoft does well with their multitude of franchises, it’s creating dense environments filled with exploration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no different, as the vast world the studio has created is ripe for adventure. Whether it’s the various unique enemies you’ll come across on your adventures or investigating reported Yokai in the area, there feels like an overwhelming amount of content to dig your teeth into.
One such activity is participating in the numerous temples and shrines. Japan is a country of tradition and religion, at least back in the 1500s when Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place. If you’ve ever been to the country, you’ll know that the number of temples and shrines feels infinite, and in Shadows, it’s well represented with some of the most iconic structures in the Kansai region.

Purpose of Temples & Shrines
With each of the temples and shrines, there will either be lost pages that need collecting or shrines that need to be prayed to. Doing so will unlock a good amount of EXP along with a Knowledge point that can be used to upgrade Nao and Yasuke. Some of these locations have surprisingly well-hidden collectibles, but with this guide you’ll have no problem finding them.
The Tanjosan Myoyoji Temple is found in the Harima region of Japan. It is located the furthest west, right at the entrance to the Izumi Settsu province.
The Tanjosan Myoyoji Temple is in hostile territory, so stealth or combat will be required to obtain these items.
Lost Page Locations
Lost Page #1
Tanjosan Myoyoji Temple is one of the largest temples in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, being separated into multiple sections with a staggering number of enemies populated each. It acts as a base for these warriors, something you’ll have to take into consideration when approaching it. The first Lost Page can be found very close to the viewpoint, which is northwest of the Tanjosan Myoyoji Temple icon on the map. Despite being south of the viewpoint, the Lost Page is in the same building as this viewpoint. It is instead located at the base floor of the structure on the inside. It’s on a ledge right next to the main central beam of the building.

From the last Lost Page, head west. You’ll eventually come upon a small rundown building with no roof. There will be two enemies chatting, one normal and one elite below. You’ll need to take them out to pick up the Lost Page as it’s located in the back of the room, next to a barricaded door.

The third and final Lost Page can be a bit trickier to get only because of where it’s situated. This isn’t particularly close to the last two Lost Pages, but instead is found in the small area southeast of the icon on the map. You will immediately be able to identify the area as there is a high-ranking Samurai patrolling around (along with a normal enemy). More importantly, though, this is a command center for organizing attacks, so it’s draped in red cloth with a map and rations on the table. The Lost Page you’re looking for is located on said table next to the map.
