The Blood of Dawnwalkerhas revealed its first trailer, showcasing details of the new game from the director ofThe Witcher 3.This dark fantasy RPG, featuring vampires in an open world, is being developed with Unreal Engine 5.
First Look at The Blood of Dawnwalker
After directingThe Witcher 3and seeing it released on PC, Steam Deck, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Switch, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz founded Rebel Wolves. Now, alongside Bandai Namco, the studio has given us a glimpse ofThe Blood of Dawnwalker.
At this stage, only a cinematic reveal trailer and a brief look at pre-alpha gameplay have been shared, whetting our appetite until its release in the summer of 2025.

“Inspired by classic RPGs, we want players to feel a sense of urgency in an open-world game,” said Tomaszkiewicz, director and co-founder of the studio.
“There are multiple approaches to saving Coen’s family, with no clear distinction between main and side quests. Everyone decides how to spend their time,” the studio elaborated.

“Time is a resource, and since each mission progresses at its own pace, it’s impossible to complete every story and character arc before the dreaded deadline, making each playthrough unique.
A Narrative Sandbox with a Sense of Urgency
We call it a narrative sandbox.” Despite this innovative approach, it’s clear from the trailer that the game is a third-person action RPG set in a vampire-themed fantasy universe.
Development began over two years ago, shortly before or after the studio’s founding. The game is set in the “Sangora Valley” during the 14th-century medieval Europe.

It is slated for release on PC and next-gen consoles. “Bloody conflicts ravage the lands, and the Black Death descends upon the survivors.
Amid disasters claiming thousands of lives, the decimated human population struggles to survive. It’s a time of weakness […] Legends become reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.”
Players take on the role of young Coen, transformed into a Dawnwalker, caught between day and night. “You’re not entirely human nor fully vampire.
You have 30 days and nights to save your family or seek revenge against your Sire, destroying anyone in your path. The freedom of the game lies in Coen’s very nature.
Everything depends on the time of day you play—use different skills, abilities, and choices to decide: Will you fight for humanity or succumb to the cursed powers?”
