Unchartedproducer company Naughty Dog has recently released a statement saying they have officially moved on from their insanely successful and best-selling game and might be focussing onThe Last of Usmultiplayer mode, said co-president Neil Druckmann.Unchartedhas a total of 9 games released by Naughty Dog in collaboration with Sony starting withUncharted: Drake’s Fortunein 2007 and the last one in 2017,Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.In 2022 Naughty Dog has released a remastered version ofUncharted 4: A Thief’s EndandThe Lost Legacy,calledUncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Naughty Dog Focusing onThe Last of Us
After putting the final brushstroke on the story ofUncharted,Naughty Dog is moving on from its most successful game, they might start makingThe Last of Us Part III.The first game,The Last of Uswas released in 2013, and another in 2014,The Last of Us: Left Behind.The latest installations were in 2020 and 2022, so if they make another game, it will be after a huge break of almost 6 years.
Neil Druckmann said that the next game will be multiplayer-based, where we can experience a different type of gameplay as we can play with our friends to take in the fun as new characters and stories are being developed. He also shared that this game would be introducing another city that holds many secrets that can only be discovered by playing it.
Neil Druckmann shared thatPart IIImight not get a campaign mode because they need to make a story good enough, if not greater than the previously released games. He added that if they cannot come up with such a story they might end the mode withPart IIas it had a perfect ending to the story and it was not necessary to pull onto something that ended properly. Later Druckmann shared,
“Our process is the same thing we did when we did Part 2, which is if we can come up with a compelling story that has this universal message and statement about love — just like the first and second game did — then we will tell that story. If we can’t come up with something, we have a very strong ending with Part 2 and that will be the end.”

Neil Druckmann for marketing purposes shared an image from the upcoming multiplayer game and fans were very excited to play the game. Moreover due to the adaptation by HBO, the sales forThe Last of Us Part Ihave seen an increase in its sale by 238%.
The Last of UsIs Renewed For Season 2
HBO has renewedThe Last of Usfor a second season as people absolutely loved the game adaptation and the show has been bombarded with positive critic reviews and comments. Though only two episodes has been released so far, the show has seen massive success. The two episodes combined have millions of viewers count as it holds the record for the largest growth rate from episode one to the second for any series made by HBO.
The series is currently trending heavily both in the US and worldwide after its debut.“I’m humbled, honored, and frankly overwhelmed that so many people have tuned in and connected with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey”,shared Druckmann. The adaptation is seen over by director and writer Craig Mazin and executive producer Neil Druckmann.

However, Neil Druckmann has recently shared that the third installation of the game might not include a campaign mode, an offline story mode if they cannot make a story convincing enough to continue. As the second game has a perfect ending to its story he thinks it is not necessary to continue so though the game has been adapted for a second season, it might not get a third.
