Earlier this week, 20th Century Fox unveiled anew posterforX-Men: Apocalypse, which featured the title villain (Oscar Isaac) and his Four Horsemen, Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Archangel (Ben Hardy). Today, the movie’s officialTwitterpage has unveiled another poster that brings together the heroic mutants trying to stop Apocalypse from destroying the world. This one-sheet features Professor X (James McAvoy), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan).

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’sX-Menuniverse, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, RavenJennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

There have been rumors thatHugh Jackmanmay show up as Wolverine, but that has not been confirmed at this time. The actor will portray the character for one last time in next year’sWolverine 3, hitting theaters June 01, 2025.

This sequel will close out the prequel trilogy that includesX-Men: First ClassandX-Men: Days of Future Past.

Following the success of their spinoffDeadpool, 20th Century Fox will start production later this year onGambit, and the studio is also developingThe New MutantsandX-Force, although it isn’t known when production will begin on those projects. There have also been rumors that directorBryan Singerwill come back to directX-Men 7, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
